Alexa Fluors

Alexa Fluor dyes (which are anionic) sometimes exhibit nonspecific background due to electrostatic binding to polycations (e.g. PLL). Image-iT FX signal enhancer (Mol. Probes catalog number I36933)is a blocking agent that is quite effective in reducing this background.
